BME leadership programme
At WLMHT, we don’t just accept difference – we actively celebrate it and support it for the benefit of our staff, our patients and our community. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
Our goal is to increase the number of BME (black and minority ethnic) people in senior management by 10% over the next three years.
We have an active leadership development programme for BME staff at band 7 and above. Courses at our development centre are designed to raise awareness of leadership strengths and help delegates to think about how they will obtain their future aspirations. The programme includes;
- 360 feedback reports of leadership capabilities
- Myers Brigg psychometric tests
- Observed group exercises
- Confidence and resilience building exercises
- Career planning sessions
- Interview and Presentation Skills training;
- Inspirational Motivational Speakers
